Frequently Asked Questions - Sellers

Q.  How can Bottom Line Real Estate charge less than other brokerages to sell a home?
A.  Bottom Line Real Estate is a virtual real estate brokerage that functions just like a traditional brick-and-mortar brokerage but without the physical presence. Without all of the overhead expenses, we are able to pass along significant savings to you leading to a decreased commission rate and more equity back to you.

Q.  How much do I list my house for?
A.  Bottom Line Real Estate can provide you with a Comparative Market Analysis that will assist you with pricing your home correctly.  A Comparative Market Analysis (or CMA) is an examination of the prices at which similar properties in the same area recently sold. Real estate agents perform a CMA for their clients to help them determine a price to list when selling a home or a price to offer when buying a home.

Q.  Is it OK to leave personal pictures on the wall when we show the house?
A.  Most people do have family photos on display so there is no need to remove all family photos.  The most important thing to do is de-clutter so that potential buyers will look at your home and not be distracted by your stuff.  Just leave the basics to make the house look like a "home".

Q.  Will I deal with a real person or is this an online service?
A.  Yes!  You will deal with a real person, ME!  I will be with you every step of the way.

Q.  Who shows my house?
A.  If the buyer has an agent then they will show the home.  If the buyer does not have an agent then either myself or you, the seller, will be showing the home.

Q.  Does Bottom Line Real Estate hold open houses?
A.  We do not hold open houses for our listings.  This is based on the fact that we believe open houses are not an effective way to sell a home in the 21st century.  Today buyers do not typically attend open houses, instead they scour over listings of properties on the internet.  Once they find listings that appeal to them they either call the listing agent or their buyer agent and schedule an appointment.  Homes are rarely sold through an open house.

Q.  What is the difference between Bottom Line Real Estate and a traditional real estate company?
A.  In a nutshell, a virtual real estate brokerage functions just like a traditional brick-and-mortar brokerage but without the physical presence. With all of the latest tools, we are able to work faster and more efficiently without the hassle of varying schedules.
